CONGRATULATIONS

Dunvegan - 2019 German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) colt   Congratulations Sue!

Dunvegan or “Danny” was foaled May 6, 2019 and was praised at his GOV inspection for his powerful hind leg, confident disposition and superb elasticity. He was awarded Foal of Distinction.

Dunvegan’s sire Dannebrog is by legendary stallion Don Schufro (Donnerhall x Pik Bube I) and out of the outstanding dam St.Pr. Byzantina (Brentano II x Arogno). Dannebrog completed his 300 Day Stallion Performance Test at Adelheidsdorf in 2010 with fantastic scores, finishing 3rd overall in Dressage with an impressive index of 135.74. His individual scores highlight his fantastic mind and overall high quality; Walk 9, Trot 9, Character 9, Rideability 9, Canter 8, Temperament 8, Willingness to Work 8 and Constitution 8. His test rider marks were equally exciting; Walk 8.33, Trot 9, Canter 8.33, Rideability 8.5 and Jumping Course Canter 8. This rigorous 300 Day testing highlighted his extraordinary character, his fantastic rideability and his three supple and elastic gaits. His foals bear his trademark friendly disposition and possess his high-quality movement.

More importantly, Dunvegan’s dam, Erin (G. Ramiro Z x Tudor Minstrel xx) has produced some of our top riding horses. I have been privileged to ride 3 of her offspring to date and they have been consistent with outstanding work ethics, excellent use of their hind leg and superb canters.

Finnick - 2018 Canadian Pinto Horse Association gelding.  SOLD  Congratulations Emma!

2018 gelding with a fabulous disposition! Finnick's pedigree boasts a versatile performance background from both his dam and sire, but the best part about this foal is his disposition. If you are looking for a tall, amateur friendly colt with some bling and excellent movement, this boy is for you.

His dam, Annika, was bred and raised at our farm, was a premium foal, and is entered into the main mare book with the GOV. She was trained to 4th level dressage prior to her becoming a school master for an amateur rider returning to riding after a 30 year absence. She has now joined our select group of broodmares and is completely sound at the age of 14.  Finnick is Annika's first foal and we are thrilled with what she has produced. The foal is tall, correct and carries his dam's lovely presence and superb disposition.

Finnick's sire, Far Ute Finale, is known for producing junior and amateur friendly hunters that have outstanding movement on the flat, and are "born broke". Progeny of this stallion have been champions across Canada with their youth and amateur riders.

Finnick's dam Annika is by the Hanoverian stallion Autocrat and out of Clerical Crisis, a thoroughbred mare with a significant sport horse pedigree including Bold Ruler and Nasrullah. In addition to showing great aptitude for pi/pa work, Annika demonstrated excellent form over fences. Autocrat was imported from the Celle State Stud in Germany and provided himself under saddle but successfully completing the 300 day test. He was ranked 14th out of 50 stallions and placed 7th in dressage with over 120 points. Autocrat scored 8’s in: character, temperament, willingness to perform, rideability, trot, canter, jumping and scope. Autocrat was known for his quiet, kind temperament, willingness to please, handsome good looks and versatile bloodlines. He consistently passed those qualities on to his offspring, as well as his excellent hind leg mechanics.

Finnick is expected to mature between 16.2hh and 17hh. He is halter broke, gelded and has had regular handling since birth. Finnick is very people oriented and handles new situations with a confident, curious nature. He has truly been the easiest young horse we have had on our farm! No history of illness or injury, and is up to date on vaccinations and de-worming. I think this will be a very versatile young horse, with a pedigree and performance record of his parents in the hunter/jumper and dressage ring.

Reasonable long term boarding options available. Shipping is easily arranged anywhere in North America.
